About Us

The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UC Irvine offers the most innovative, leading-edge medical and surgical care of vascular disease.

The division’s full-time teaching faculty members are highly experienced clinicians who are dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care and professional education as well as pursuing advances in clinical and translational research.

Clinical activities take place at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, Gottschalk Medical Plaza on the university campus in Irvine and at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.

The medical center's Douglas Hospital, which opened in March 2009, has state-of-the-art hybrid endovascular operating rooms and incorporates the most advanced interventional imaging technologies.

The hybrid operating suites are among the most sophisticated interventional operating rooms in Orange County, allowing for improved speed, higher quality 3-D imaging with lower radiation exposure. They also have linking capabilities to remote classrooms and conferences, facilitating educational activities.
