About Us

The Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery at the UC Irvine School of Medicine is committed to the education, research and clinical care for all aspects of minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery, including esophageal resection, gastric resection, biliary surgery, ventral and inguinal hernia repair, antireflux operations and bariatric surgery.

Our faculty members have received numerous honors for their innovation and leadership, including the Golden Scope Award from the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and a prestigious traveling fellowship.
